EcoMap Costa Rica Project Goes Live!

The EcoMap Costa Rica Project Goes Live!
----------------------------------------

http://www.ecomapcostarica.com

The EcoMap Costa Rica website documents an ecological study of the
reforestation sites by the University of Dallas Biology Department. The
field work is being performed by University of Dallas students as a part
of their Field Ecology class. Field sites are on the Leaves and Lizards
Arenal Volcano Cabin Retreat in Costa Rica.

This website will document the 2008 field season, and include panoramic
photographs and interactive maps of field data. Future field seasons
will produce similar data, allowing comparisons to be made. The
reforestation project started in 2007, so this chance allows a rare
possibility to chart rain forest recovery from near the very beginning.

Students will also be blogging their experiences - their first blog
entries were posted earlier today. We fly out on Sunday (25th) for a
wee of field work, so check the website regularly to see their comments,
our photographs, and our map updates.
