wet weight or dry weight basic when calculate toxic substance concentration? Why?

Author: Hund
Date: Jun 23, 2008 12:48

I am a bit confusing to decide to calculate the concentration of heavy
metals on the basis of wet weight or dry weight. For me, it seems that
dry weight is more appropriate than wet weight basis because it is
less variable and less depend on water content. However, my supervisor
had different opinion. Anyone out there can help me to solve this
problem? Please tell me which standard book should I also read to
clarify this. Thank so so so much for your time and kind help!

Cheers,
Hund

CML (Chemical Markup Language) is a new approach to managing molecular
information using recently developed Internet tools such as XML and
Java. It is based strictly on SGML, the most robust and widely used
system for precise information management in many areas. It has been
developed over several years and has been tested in many areas and on
a variety of machines.

Republicans for Environmental Protection on the candidates

Pardon me if this post is off-topic for this group. If it is, tell
me. It seemed important to thorough coverage of ecological issues.

REP is an organization which has tried for a long time to push
Republicans back toward the conservation heritage of Teddy Roosevelt,
and it endorsed Senator McCain in the primary campaign. REP argues
that recent criticism of McCain by the Sierra Club and others has been
based on partisanship, not McCain's body of work, and has posted its
own views here:
