      Move from Computer Science

    Author: theoryboy
    Date: Dec 13, 2006 02:20

    Hi there,

I am a PhD trained computer scientist with 4 years post-doctoral
experience. My current field is Systems Biology - applying
computational modelling to understanding biological systems. I also
have a variety of more mundane technical skills including systems and
database administration, web development and so on.

Although I find Systems Biology reasonably fulfilling, my personal
convictions are making me more and more interested in a move to a job
based on protecting the environment. Maybe this sounds like
tree-hugging, but I just think that saving our planet is more important
than any other science at the moment.

To some extent, I don't really care what kind of job it is. I know I'll
probably have to take a big pay-cut and that isn't a problem as long as
I can still find a living wage. If at all possible, I would also prefer
the job to be in Scotland, as I currently live in Glasgow.

Didn't I just say so already?

I want the selfish to be made to pay (lose all they have and work as
slaves), and the sadistic to be destroyed.

The innocent humans shall live on, building bright beautiful
civilisations in harmony with nature, and working to restore nature.
