My understanding is that the pictures are taken by
a van driving around on the street. So you don't see
anything that you couldn't see while driving in your car.
Clearly this is not a "privacy" issue at all because
the camera only goes into public places. But perhaps
we need some other term, not yet invented, to explain
the disquiet we sometimes feel about information we expect
to be ephemeral becoming permanently recorded.
It's important that we not use the word "privacy" for this
because that confuses the debate IMHO.
