  Geodynamics and crustal geodynamics

Author: oriel36
Date: Sep 3, 2008 21:27

This is the best contemporary guys can do with the cause of the
spherical deviation,in case anyone believes otherwise,it is extremely
poor to the point of being childish -

http://www.iki.rssi.ru/mirrors/stern/stargaze/Srotfram1.htm

The actual mechanism is in observed fluid dynamics of differential
rotation, the generalised principles borrowed from stellar rotational
dynamics.

The difficulties arise in that the contemporary direction is to
organise the Earth's interior to suit a stationary Earth notion of
'convection cells' whereas rotational geodynamics requires a different
set of criteria organised around the 40 KM deviation from a perfect
sphere and the dynamics to move the fairly thin crust. In short, little
is known about the viscosity and composition of the interior but with
clues like the spherical deviation, the mid-Atlantic ridge and the
direction of crustal evolution, there is a tendency to apply
generalised principles for rotating bodies to the Earth's interior.

  Ashamed Of God!

Author: Anonymous Remailer
Date: Sep 3, 2008 12:46

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

I know you can say the same thing about this whole world, but
nobody seems to be more ashamed of God than the people of the
United States Of America. Why are Americans so ashamed of God?

You know how the Light always knows the answers to everything.
You ask the Light anything and the Light tells you the answer.
The secret is knowing what questions to ask, and the unbiased,
purely objective motivation for asking questions of the Light.

So without thinking, but only listening, I asked the Light to
explain why, of all the evil nations here in the lake of Fire,
why are Americans, above all others, so deeply ashamed of God?

And here's what the Light said: The thin veil which separates
the earthly land of death and hell, from the heavenly land of
the second-death and second-hell, is why Americans loathe God.
So I thanked the Light for having explained this paradox, i.e.
as to why Americans are so deeply ashamed of God, and why the
Christians are so deeply ashamed of Jesus. It all makes sense.

I mean, Americans casually throw the word "God" (Gamma-Delta)
around like confetti, rather like "Christians" read the bible
without following the orders given to them by their Commander-
in-Chief Jesus...

  Honest indignation

Author: oriel36

As a Christian astronomer it is wonderful to read the expansive
writings of Galileo whereas this era of limited intellects re-write
history for their very limited ends. The great minds could move between
disciplines with ease and discuss relationships without skipping a
beat whereas the phony type of individual is inclined to twist
historical characters and their insights towards whatever end is
desired. Many use Galileo as an example of Church opposition to
heliocentric reasoning with little understanding of the ins and outs
of it themselves and I regret not meeting people who have actually
risen to the level of basic heliocentric reasoning never mind the
refinements or even how Galileo viewed his detractors -

"In order to facilitate their designs, they seek so far as possible
(at least among the common people) to make this opinion seem new and
to belong to me alone. They pretend not to know that its author...

AAVSO Special Notice #123 - Possible nova in Centaurus

AAVSO Special Notice #123

Possible nova in Centaurus
September 3, 2008

A possible nova in Centaurus was discovered by G. Pojmanski et al.
of the ASAS-3 project (vsnet-alert 10482). The existence of the
bright transient (V=8.3 at maximum) has been confirmed, but the
object has not been definitively classified as a Nova. It was
first detected by ASAS-3 on 2008 August 26.045 (JD 2454704.545)
at V=9.971, and rose to V=8.385 by 2008 August 30.040 (JD
2454708.540). Pending classification, the AAVSO requests
observations of this new object. An AAVSO Alert Notice will
be issued if and when the object is classified as a Nova.

A sequence for the field was prepared by M. Morel (AVSON #1328,
and private communication) and has been uploaded to the AAVSO
VSP. Both visual observations and instrumental photometry are
encouraged.

This object is located at the following coordinates from Sostero
et al. (see vsnet-alert 10484):

RA: 14 35 02.54 , Dec: -64 06 20.0 (J2000)

A possible nova in Scorpius was posted to the CBAT Unconfirmed
Objects list (D. Green, editor); the object was at magnitude 9.5
(C) on 2008 September 02.4594. The object has not been classified,

Rain is Sent Down in due Measure

Author: Hamady
Date: Sep 3, 2008 10:33

In the eleventh verse of Surat az-Zukhruf, rain is defined as water
sent down in "due measure". "It is He (God) Who sends down water in
due measure from the sky" (Qur’an, 43:11)

Indeed, rain falls on the earth in an unerring measure.

The first of the measures related to rain is its speed of descent.
When dropped from a height of 3937 feet, an object having the same
weight and size as a rain-drop would continuously accelerate and fall
on the ground at a speed of 347 miles/h. The average speed of
raindrops, however, is only 9.3-12.4 miles/h.

The reason for this is that the raindrop has a special form that
increases the frictional effect of the atmosphere and helps it fall on
the ground more slowly. A glance at the figures below is sufficient to
understand the disaster the earth would face every time it rained if
rain raindrops were in a different form, or the atmosphere did not
have the quality of friction.

  For stellar dynamicists

Author: oriel36
Date: Sep 3, 2008 10:13

Stellar dynamicists should be capable of recognising uni-directional
differential rotation bands as opposed to people who have infantile
suggestions of imagined hemispherical forces which are irrelevant to
the discussion -

http://www.es.ucsc.edu/~glatz/GarysImages/sun_giants_img_1.jpg

To repeat the original thread -

One of the biggest omissions in terrrestrial studies is the absence of
rotational dynamics applied to crustal evolution and motion, this being
mainly due to factors expressed here day in and day out.

The place to begin with rotational dynamics and its geological
consequences is to look at stellar rotational dynamics first in order
to get a clear perspective of the behavior of a rotating celestial
object with a viscous composition. It is well known that stars of
roughly the same size but with different maximum Equatorial rotational
speeds will demonstrate spherical deviation, there are many examples
on the web but the following one will do despite the difference in
stellar magnitudes -

NASA could have found millions of Martian microbes.

Author: Lin Liangtai

NASA could have found millions of Martian microbes.

NASA's Phoenix Mars Lander have taken many ultraviolet-light images
with its optical microscope. Many of such images show numerous small
white dots (Fig.1). These white dots could be fluorescence emitted
from Martian microbes, as they are not seen in other images taken of
the same area in other light sources. The white dots measure from
about 4.7 microns to 11 microns in diameter, as shown in Fig. 2 below:

Fig.1: shows animated photomicrographs taken both with ultraviolet
light (marked with U) and with blue filter (marked with B).

Fig.2 : shows the sizes of cells range from about 4 microns to 11
microns.
