Graham, here is one more place where you don't really know what you're
talking about - I've investigated the diesel situation vis-a-vis US
emissions
standards pretty well and you haven't.

phased in?

But here in AZ, diesel is not significantly less expensive than
gasoline.

Considering the number of diesel trucks on US roads and their average
condition that seems somewhat foolish. The onslaught of trucks from Mexico
cannot help either.

It's not GM though. It's an MB ( Daimler Chrysler ). And yes it does look like
it's on the way although I gather it's had to be made less fuel efficient to
meet American standards ( presumably emissions ).
