Combining video+audio clips ?

Author: RF

Hi Everywun ;-)

I have a few hundred video+audio clips that I want to combine. They came
from a camcorder and have the extension .MOV, but Quicktime doesn't
recognize them as videos.

I use Win2K and have tried CombiMovie and VDubMod. Both did fine for the
video but neither had any audio. Reading the sparse info with CombiMovie
I could not see any mention of audio. VDub has lots of audio settings,
so it must have the capability.

Please, nobody tell me that I have to strip the audio.

TIA

RF

Do you happen to know the make/model of camcorder?

Have you looked at these files in a hex editor program to determine
whether or not they're really Apple QuickTime .mov files?

Do you know which codec(s) were used to encode these files?

You mention Win2K below. Unfortunately, Apple no longer supports the
QuickTime Player program on the Win2K OS. The last version of the
QuickTime Player program that Apple released for Win2K was version
7.1.6.200. Is that the version that you're using? If not, update and
try to play the files again.

Use G-spot. Much easier to understand than a bunch of hex ;-)
