What is in this case superficially good for the consumer is bad for business
which will lead to fewer jobs and fewer consumers.
Be careful what you wish for.

As a consumer and blue/pink collar workers we have no respect for
business owners because they are gouging us big time. We haven't
noticed any dip in the prices of goods. We shop in the USs even if it
means paying more because of lost time and fuel and vehicle expenses. We
have to look out for ourselves and not the big boys. Who cares about our
econony when we have the USA as our neighbours.

Don't tell that to my friend, just made $13,000 after expenses importing a
used BMW M3. Mint too, never seen salt.
We should notice a 6-18 month dip as the US absorbs the inflation. For
this, we are being screwed as Canadians.

Isn't it risky buying a used vehicle from the USA from someone in
Canada? Personally, I wouldn't do it, irregardless of price. I may buy
it from a reputable dealer in the US, but not from anyone or company
here.

I hope so, not so sure though, especially since our $ is declining in
value against the US.

Me too.
