It's nice for those of us who travel outside the EU, but it's not a
good thing for Euroland.

it is not good for companies that export to the USA
but most commodities are paid in dollars.
including OIL
that means that
raw materials will cost less
production prices will lower
produts will be cheaper

of course. it is not good for US tourists

Not to say that many Italian factories build their own factories in the US..
where strangely enough work force is much cheaper

I've been saying the same thing about the pound's relationship with the
dollar, but I don't really care. :)

There are very few countries I travel to from the UK which aren't
cheaper.

Doesn't have quite the same ring about it as Yankeeland.

The US is a very large export market, and that alone is a problem for
exports, but the euro has also risen against a lot of other
currencies.
