What are you looking for? The chains like Accor are fine and reliable-
Travelodge is probably the cheapest- and the rooms are generally good.
If you book with them in advance you can get very cheap deals. I got
rooms for £26 at Liverpool Street a while back.

Claridge's will do in a pinch, particularly a penthouse suite.

Being visitors who never have been to London yet we need a room with
double bed and a bathroom (or shower). Any similar to 'Bed and
Breakfast' - we'll not spend much time there.
(Extra wish: when I get up I need a coffee immediatelly :-)

Claridges is acceptable but the Connaught (in the same hotel group) is much
better imho. The OP would be able to stay in reasonable comfort at any of
the 3 hotels mentioned.

Travelodge and Ibis will suit you then. They have kettles in the room-
with instant coffee packs, or you can buy something better! :)

Connaught is well over 300 pounds a night.

Anything between 50-60 pounds? (from those who have actually stayed).

Thanks, Andrew

I can't recommend anything from personal experience _ stay with my cousin
when I visit:~)

But this looks OK :http://www.fairwaylondon.com/
and this has a whole list: http://www.londonbb.com/

Just chose somewhere a bit away from the centre, but near a tube station.
The underground system is great for getting around.
