I am arriving in Riga early December. I would welcome any travel and
accommodation advice. My intention is to spend up to a week in in
Latvia then travel on to Tallinn.
So any advice on travel Riga - Tallinn, accommmodation (budget and 2
star)and things to do and see in Latvia and Estonia.
After Tallinn no definite plans but need to be back in Amsterdam by
week 3 2008.

Subject: Weather
In deference to The Archbishop of Canterbury and The Royal Commission
for Political Correctness, it was announced today that the local
climate in the UK should no longer be referred to as 'English
Weather.'
Rather than offend a sizable portion of the population, it will now
be
referred to as 'Muslim Weather.'
In other words - 'partly Sunni, but mostly Shi'ite.

I was recently introduced to a fabulous place for surfing!! in
Morocco
- Imsouane. This place is something else. It's what you would call an
emerging venue I suppose. Brillian coastline and waves. Check it out
if you get the chance. It's largely undeveloped, but there is a Surf
School and campsite - www.morocco-camping.com

My brother is moving to the Lavorno Italy area for employment purposes.
Does anyone living in the area know the geneeral dimensions of a three
bedroom common house? He is undecided on how much furniture to bring
and does not want to purchase too much while there. Obviously he does
not want to bring his sofa, if it is too big for the living rooms in
Italy. Any info would help. Cheers

We're planning a trip to Germany that will include a train segment
from Cologne to Brussels. In studying the schedules, the Thalys
trains don't seem to stop at the Bruxelles Nord Br station, which
would be a short walk to our hotel, instead stopping only at
Bruxelles
Midi.
Are the non-Thalys trains that serve this route equally clean and
comfortable as the Thalys trains? The travel times are almost
identical. The EuropeRail site doesn't include a layout diagram of
the train (#14) that serves the Nord Br station.

Hi,
I am travelling from Germany to Italy this Saturday by car. Queues are
expected I read, particularly at the Tauern tunnel. I was wondering
whether the Tauern pass might be a reasonable alternative, if the
queues for the Tauern tunnel become too long. I have a long trip to
make that Saturday so time is not unlimited, but if I am going to
loose time queueing for the Tauern tunnel anyway I would rather spend
that time taking the longer, but more attractive road. However I don't
know if a lot of people try to avoid queues for the tunnel, so that
the pass road becomes extra slow?
Does anyone have experience with these routes?
Regards,
Bas
