The same thing happened to me. I was in a booth for four and asked to
be seated at a large table. The maitre d claimed the larger tables were
being used for groups dining together and that he wasn't able to change
me. Bunk. That was part of the reason my one cruise on Carnival has
been my only cruise on Carnival.
