  suggestions

After our Veendam cruise, we were kicking around the idea today about
another cruise this late Spring/Summer. Here's some thoughts, and any
suggestions would be appreciated.

1) Something longer than the normal 7 or 8-day cruise. A couple weeks
or longer would be even better
2) Perhaps something from the West coast instead of FL. Texas or even
NOLA might be OK, but the further away, the less desirable
3) South America/Amazon/Panama Canal? South Pacific?
4) Something that we could get a decent price on air, since open jaw is
terrible.
5) We're pretty tied up thru mid March, until our friends depart on the
20th.
6) NCL and probably Carnival don't appeal to Mrs. Nonny and I'm unsure
about HAL. We'd also be interested in a foreign branded cruise, like
Costa. Ship size doesn't matter too much, but mid sized ones have a bit
more appeal.

Thanks for any ideas.

NEW CRYSTAL ADVENTURES SOAR OVER ITALY'S BREATHTAKING LANDSCAPES

Los Angeles, CA, February 11, 2008 - Due to increased demand, Crystal
Cruises is introducing new Crystal Adventures in Italy that enable guests to
cover more ground - by way of the sky. The helicopter excursions, which
range from $1,995 to $3,268, include adventure options that fly over the
Amalfi Coast, Mt. Etna, the Dolomites and myriad portions of the Italian
countryside.

The aerial excursions are included in a portfolio of 18 brand-new Crystal
Adventures debuting in Italy alone this year, and created as a result of
guests' requests for one-of-kind excursions - regardless of cost.

  O'Keefe Plaza hotel in NOLA

Author:
Date: Feb 11, 2008 09:55

I'm researched reviews and they all seem pretty good.

Have any of you stayed there?

They mentioned an airport shuttle to the hotel for about $13 I arrive a
littler before 6pm, does the shuttled run that late?

Also, do any of you know of transport to the ship pier? Streetcar, city bus
or trolley? They said the taxi fair should be under $10 but a cheaper way to
the port would be great.

Thanx

LES!

  Re: NOLA Hotel Suggestions

We stayed at The Pelham Hotel on a recent cruise out of NOLA. It was close
to downtown, across the street from Harrah's,and Riverwalk.Great beignets
and cafe au lait. Very short taxi ride to the cruise terminal.Walking
distance to Bourban St.
We were very satisfied with the hotel and found it to be very reasonable.
Might be a bit over your $100 cap tho'.
Enjoy!

Alaska: Does "Great Alaskan TourSaver" work?

Author: Celebrity Cruiser
Date: Feb 11, 2008 06:57

Someone gave me a tip about the "Great Alaskan TourSaver" coupon book
where you can get a lot of 2-fers for some of Alaska's top
attractions.

My question, does it work? For $100 to buy the book, will I then find
there are many restrictions and really not be able to use the book's
coupons?

Any feedback would be appreciated.
