We like shopping in Bangkok - souvenirs, handicrafts, silk (real and
fake), more handicrafts ...
Incredible shopping at the Chatuchak Weekend Market from 8am to 6pm on
Saturday or Sunday, if you are arriving early enough or leaving late
enough.
Otherwise, the Suan Lum Night Bazaar is open until midnight. It is
supposed to be closed down for redevelopment, but according to
Wikipedia, many merchants remained open as of July.
And there are some stalls at night in Patpong, amidst the girlie bars.
I don't know how late the longtail boat drivers are up, but if you
find one still awake you can rent it for an hour or two and get a
night tour of the river and the klongs.
