I'm desperately seeking the lowest fares possible for the following:

1. My father and I want to fly from LAX to Hong Kong in August (8/01).
We want to arrive in Hong Kong on 8/2.
2. We would meet a loved one in Hong Kong, who would fly from Cebu,
Philippines, on 8/2nd.
3. We all plan to spend 4 nights in HKG.
4. My father and his sweetheart would fly back together to Cebu on 8/6.
He would return to LAX alone on 8/11/06.
5. I would fly back to LAX on 8/6 out of Hong Kong -or-
I would fly together with my father and his sweetheart to Cebu on 8/6,
and return alone to LAX on 8/8th.

I'm not having success in getting airfares less than $1000 pp with air
consolidators, etc.
Can someone please help?? Dates are somewhat flexible, as long as
suggested dates don't extend too far near the end of August.
Alternative airport to LAX could be John Wayne (SNA). Many thanks.
