If they get pinned up on the club notice board, might be a good sponsor
opportunity.

  Regatta posters

This year I didn't send out any regatta posters, or email any publicity of
any kind save keeping DB and RQ informed. Yet we still reached the entry
limit and closed entries 2 days early. I get several regatta posters per
week throught the post and wondered why in this day and age clubs keep
wasting money in sending them all out.

Apart from propping up the Royal Mail do they actually do any good?

Just musing as to what the entry might be like this year. My guessing
is that most national squads will be in the throws of pre-Oly
preparation in Asia and unlikely to make an appearance. The only crew
I've heard about that is going is the new SA pair De Clemente and
Keeling. Does anyone know if Henley is featuring on any National Squad
plans....I suppose it's an oppostunity for non-Olympic squad members
to put something together.
