Finally made it to Everland yesterday. It took over about an hour,
with a taxi ride with death for part of the way. It was raining when
I got there, and T-Express had workers on the first drop, but it
finally opened about 2 hours after the park.
This is my first Intamin plug-n-play, and I really liked it. The
first half, including the two big drops, is amazing. The first drop
is near vertical, and looked steeper than the 77 degrees they
advertise. It's simply insane in the back. The second half is full
of ejector air, while I'm more of a floater air guy. It's a series of
bunny hops with 180 turn around in between that were taken a bit
slow. It definitely sped up during the day, with my late afternoon
ride in the front being damn crazy. ANd, they do not staple you at
all.
I don't know if it's my favorite woodie or not. I'm not a Voyage fan,
and really don't even know what my fave wood is. Timbers (only ridden
the first year), KY Rumbler, and Raven are up there. T-Express is
too. The section up to the block brake is brilliant. If you love
extreme air, I can't think of another wood coaster with more of it.

Was at BG most of the day today, Griffon was down and they had a sign
outside the main park entrance and a sign at the ride entrance saying it
would be down all day. We of course asked at the ride what was wrong and we
got typical park employee replies. But one did say it would be down at
least Sunday as well. Anyone got any idea what's going on with it?

I'm going to Cincinnati in a few weeks and I logged into the Kings Island
website. There is a countdown on their home page for their meanest ride ever
opening 08/06/08. I know they're getting a hyper for 2009, but what is
this???

Just 44 more days until the 9th annual Oc~Boulder~Fest! (Saturday,
September 6) Registrations are beginning to come in both from locals
to the park, and as far away as Oregon and Washington (somebody
obviously has frequent flyer miles!)
This is the perfect opportunity for anyone who does not belong to a
roller coaster club to participate in an event usually reserved for
ACE, WNYCC, ECC and others. The event is open to all who enjoy
amusement parks and roller coasters.
Boulder Dash is now completely re-tracked (over the past 2 winters)
and is running faster than ever. The re-profiling over this past
winter did away with the uninspired 'trick track' and replaced it with
a bunny hop and a double up, both of which are taken at breakneck
speed with lots of air time!

Have any of you ever been to Midway amusement park in southwestern New
York? What is it like? I know that Midway is supposed to be a small
park, but I understand it has a lot of
old-fashioned park charm. Is it worth a trip?

Lotte World part 2
So, the rain had stopped, and I headed to the outside portion, which
is really pretty small. Obviously, the star of this area is Atlantis
Adventure. It looms to the right of the castle, another Disney rip-
off.
I try and get my ticket fixed, in preparation of getting a magic pass,
but that still doesn’t work, and no one could help me. Luckily, the
magic pass machines were covered anyway. They were also holding...
