Canadian Coast Guard Crashes Into Farley Mowat

Author: mohawk
Date: Mar 31, 2008 20:05

Jeezus Cripes! Would someone please throw a net over these Canadian
Clowns before they do anymore destruction!

The media can barely keep up with the incompetency of the keystone
kops of Kanaduh! Incidents are happening by the hour.

What's next? The Canuckastan navy accidentally lauching a nuclear
strike on Greenland, Iceland or Maine?

Please do the world a favor and retreat back into irrelevancy.

Coast Guard ramming the
Farley Mowat
http://www.seashepherd.org/news/media_080330_2.html

The Canadian Coast Guard icebreaker CCGS Des Groseilliers twice rammed
the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society ship Farley Mowat today.

The Coast Guard had ordered the Farley Mowat to not approach the area
where seals are being slaughtered. When the Farley Mowat did not
comply, the Coast Guard rammed the vessel near the port aft stern
area. After the Farley Mowat stopped in the ice, the Coast Guard
rammed the ship a second time in the same area of the ship causing
damage to the plates in that area.

Canadian Coast Guard Incompetence Kills Four Sealers

Author: mohawk
Date: Mar 31, 2008 18:43

http://www.seashepherd.org/news/media_080329_1.html

Sea Shepherd Conservation Society has previously warned the Canadian
government that it was irresponsibly allowing wooden hulled non-ice-
class vessels to participate in the seal slaughter. Last year, many of
these vessels were damaged, and a few were crushed in the ice and
lost.

This year, the Canadian government's irresponsibility has resulted in
a major tragedy.

Last night, four Magadalen Island sealers died when their 12 metre
sealing boat capsized while being towed by a Canadian Coast Guard
icebreaker.

The boat had lost steerage about 40 miles North of Cape Breton Island.
The Canadian Coast Guard responded to its distress signal and placed
the vessel under tow.

  Another CanaDUH Sealing Boat Sinks

Author: mohawk

Second one in two days :). It appears the Gods are not pleased with
the atrocity. Or maybe it just that it is a Canadian operation (kinda
like the French going to war thing). Some countries just can't succeed
at anything.

Seven sealers were rescued Saturday afternoon, hours after their boat
sank in icy waters off Cape Breton in eastern Canada, reported
Canadian Press.

The sealers, who abandoned their wooden boat as it took on water and
waited on the pack ice for help, were rescued by a search-and-rescue
helicopter 20 km northeast of Cape North in NovaScotia, according to
the report.

The wooden sealing boat ran into trouble in the same frigid waters
where another such boat capsized earlier Saturday, leaving three
sealers dead and another missing.

Canada's annual seal hunt season began Friday in the Gulf of St.
Lawrence. Ottawa has set a quota of 275,000 animals in this year's
hunt, up 5,000 from last year.
