Ladies and gentlemen, once again with thank-you's to those listeners who

If Willi finds an accommodation on the Marquesas (OC-027) he will spend
the rest of his holidays there. Will has to return to Los Angeles on
Oct 20.

�Route 66 On The Air� Adopts D-STAR Digital Radio Operations
BELLEVUE, WA (September 10, 2008) � During the running of the 2008
Route
66 On The Air, event leaders will be adding the D-STAR digital
communications mode to the existing HF/VHF/UHF analog modes. From September
13 � 21, over a dozen ham radio clubs located along the famous
highway
are taking part as official participants. The Citrus Belt Amateur Radio
Club out of San Bernardino, CA is the sponsoring club that is hosting this,
the 9th annual running of the event.

* Final Call for Nominations for RSGB Board and Regional Council
Election
* 70cm repeater stolen
* Train the Trainers in St Albans
This is a final call for anyone who wishes to stand in the RSGB Board
or Regional Elections. Details of the vacancies were published in the
September 2008 RadCom. Election papers can be obtained from Michelina
Gramson at RSGB HQ. Completed papers must be received at RSGB HQ no
later than noon on Wednesday 1 October.
The RSGB Emerging Technology Co-ordination Committee reports that the
70cm repeater GB3EE has been stolen. The repeater was located in
Chesterfield, East Midlands. Anyone having information about this theft
should contact G6IBQ, email steveg6ibq aol.co.uk.

To the delight of many lowband DXers team leader Sigi,DL7DF, chose
Botswana as his next destination. Sigi will be accompanied by his
friends Manfred,DK1BT, Wolfgang,DL4WK, Andy,DL5CW, Frank,DL7UFR, and
Leszek,SP3DOI. The team will be active with two stations at the same
time in CW and SSB on 10-160m plus another one reserved only for the
digital modes RTTY, PSK31 and SSTV between Sep 23 and Oct 6. Their
callsign will be A25/DL7DF, pilot stations will be Bernd,DF3CB, and
Floyd,N5FG. As usual the QSL cards should be sent to DL7DF direct or
