Decent wall-mount prefix map of the world?

Author: Bert Hyman
Date: Feb 24, 2008 11:29

I need to replace my old "Radio Amateurs Prefix Map of the World" with
something a bit more up-to-date and can't find anything suitable online.

I thought I had a winner with Millennia Art's "Ultimate DX World Map" at
http://www.millarts.net/, but when I tried to buy one at
http://www.hammaps.com/, the only place that I could find it offered, I
find that the Web site appears to be abandoned. Emails to millarts.net
bounce.

Any suggestions for an updated map that's as big as the old map in a
Mercator (or similar) projection?

  KAM TNC for sale

Author: Henry
Date: Feb 19, 2008 13:48

This Kantronics KAM Plus All Mode TNC for HF & VHF has the ver. 7.0
firmware and can be updated further with updates from Kantronics. It
is a dual port TNC.

This unit is in AS NEW condition. It was removed from my station where
it was all connected and working fine. I am a non smoker so it is free
from any smoke or smell!

I have the DC power cord, cables, all the manuals, box and a
connecting cable for Icom. Other radio cables are all common and
should be no problem to find. http://tinyurl.com/3yrgtf has many KAM
to radio cables.

This is a great deal on a nice clean KAM Plus All Mode Packet TNC.
This KAM Plus has been operating flawlessly for about 14 years. It
runs PACKET, RTTY, ASCII, AMTOR, WEFAX, CW, NAVTEX/AMTEX, KISS, HOST,
G-TOR and PACTOR.

The KAM-XL is the closest replacement.

MSRP $400

I am asking $180 plus shipping CONUS.

I also have the HostMaster II software and manuals for the KAM. I am
asking $25 for that.

  PJ4O - Who is this?

I couldn't find any QSL info for PJ4O (Netherlands Antilles), who I
worked during the ARRL DX CW contest at the 11th hour. Looking at some
spotting archives, he appears during the contest and then disappears.
Was he a contest club?

Any QSL info would be appreciated.

Thanks,
