the disk dosn't have to really install, just the viewer program,
most people just either explore it as mentioned or use the arrl
program to navigate /view it

you can of course put the entire cd on your hd if you like

just treat it like any other file, copy the cd image or the entire
contense to a new folder on your computer

then try to get their viewer working it should install, since you
didn't mentioned why it didn't install i can t say more what error
messages did you get?

  far radials for verticle?

Author: ml

hi

I might be able to get permission to put up a simple multiband verticle

i'd have to mount it on the elevator room (brick wall 10ft high) of my
building.

if i got approval, the coop board wouldn't let me put 'radials' off
the base of the antenna they don't like the way it'd look

The roof floor is concreat w/tar then small stones

wondering if i could just burry lots of wires and attach to the
bottom of the mast, so it would be 10ft away from the base of the
antenna, which would be held onto the wall w/a 10ft mast not sure how
that couples but i presume it's base of antenna not base of mast
that counts

how bad would placing the radials be in this manner (all band
verticle)

are there any other alternatives?

the roof of the elevator room is 10ft by 10ft i could put 1 or 2
wires on the base /floor of that but it would all be in 1
compas direction mostly

not sure which is 'best'??

  tv ant look alike? LP

Author: ml

hi

pretty soon when current tv broadcast stops i was thinkng my
building master ant will either be left there or just removed

i thought about petitioning the coop board to let me have the space
under the guise of replacing the antenna with another that looked for
the most part just like/simular to the old tv ant but actually
subsituting a ham antenna

my first thought as far as a look alike was to a LP , just
wondering of all of the antennas out there anyone know which specific
brand might come closest to looking like a regular tv antenna?

thanks
