Since every long thread always reverts to food, I thought I'd cut to the
chase.

Zucchini soup even freezes!

1 clove garlic
1/4 cup butter
1 med onion chopped coursely
3 cups zucchini medium chopped (about 6 zucchini)
1/2 cup chicken or beef broth
1/4 tsp sea salt
pepper
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup cream


saute onion & butter until onion is clear
add broth and zucchini and cook about 10 minutes then remove, puree and add
additional ingredients.
Serve warm immediately, or if served cold, chill for several hours
freezes well.

fairly sane people ;) A couple I have checked out don't have much traffic
and from some of the previous crossposts to this ng I realize there are some
crazy groups out there as well! I'd like to find a good cat group for two
reasons. One I have four cats and two my daughter is having a problem with
one of her cats and it would be nice to have a group to bounce ideas off of.
I've found this group to be very helpful and I've learned a lot in the short
time I have been here. It would be great to find the same thing for the
other half of the pet population in our household :)

Ah, the joy of wet slimy stuffed toys! We just let our dogs gut
them and then replenished the supply at garage sales.

Perhaps Carmine needs a little sib to tire him out? When we got
Oppie "for Dylan" when she was 3, he relentlessly forced her to
play and play and play. She'd look at us as if to say, "Hey, I
didn't volunteer to be the babysitter!" And we'd smile and nod
and say, "Payback!"

They were planning to leave at about 3:30 yesterday, but what one thing
and another, didn't actually hit the road until 7 p.m. So the storm
that blew through here, flattening trees with gale force winds, caught
them on the highway.

The wind hit the trailer broadside and it swerved. One of the rear
wheels dropped over the low shoulder and when Al tried to correct the
entire wheel was torn off and lost somewhere in the woods below. They
put the spare on, but didn't have any lug nuts. So they stole one nut
off of each of the other wheels and got moving again. Then the spare blew.

They spent the night on the side of the highway in the storm and at
first light Al and Heather unhitched the truck and drove back to where
they'd seen a Walmart. With the necessary repairs completed, they
headed out again. Last I heard they were about an hour outside of Clinton.

Khan whole heartedly approves. If they are to ever meet, we may need to

Look at it this way. Wet, slimey cold Hedgie is still a huge step up from
