Hi
I have a 1 year old female cat who recently started to urinate in the
bathtub and in the shower. She is spayed. She also urinated twice in one
week in my gym bag and another time on my shorts that werer on the floor.
Also, once on the bathroom throw rug that is infront of the sink.
This was never an issue until a couple of weeks ago. She use to always use
her litter box for everything, never going anywhere she wasn't allowed. She
still uses her litter box, I heard her urinate in it the other day. Just
sometimes she goes in odd places.
Not sure what is going on.
A little bit of background, she and three others were ferals from the same
litter, I found them last Oct, had them fixed, etc. I am working on them.
She is very differnet then the others, she is very social and sleepps on my
bed with me. I can pick her up and she doesn't mind. The other three aren't
even close, and tehy stay outside. When I feed them I leave the kitchen door
open and they all walk around the house while I prepare thier dinner.
Sometimes one or two of the cats walk around the home. She gets very
denfensive and protective.
Just wondering if she is marking her space.

Hi all,
In a couple of months, I'll be moving from Boston to South
Carolina. Aside from the need to drive 16 hours with 2 cats, I also
need to figure out the best way to introduce them to a new home. Any
suggestions? About all I could find after a quick google search was to
put them in 1 or 2 rooms, with items they're familiar with, etc.
Any other important tips?
Thanks!
Martin O'B

I finally got my little boy chipped at his annual physical and shots.
The vet suggested I get him done. She showed strong emotion as she
described how she went to N'Awlins to help animals devastated
by Katrina. Not only the horrible conditions her team found in
deserted houses with animals trapped inside. But what got me was her
telling about animals roaming the streets in terrible shape. The
volunteer vets had no way to locate the owners; the animals had no
chips and no collars. I started to mouth off about "disadvantaged
people who don't take care of their pets", and stopped short. Who was
I to be patronizing others!!!!
Right then & there I signed up, my little boy got his chip -- didn't
let out so much as a "meow"
-- and I sent in the paperwork..
I had been under the impression that it was very expensive,
but that was not the case.

My old cat has started to have kidney problems.
Any food particularly appetizing to cats with this?
Regards,
Bob
