So I'm sitting here peacefully reading the ng. Suddenly four ICE-COLD
paws land on my neck and Caliban settles down in a meatloaf on my
neck/shoulder. He'd been outside for a bit and needed to come in and
warm his icy pawsies. On Meowmie's neck.

When will that cat realise he is not a small kitten any more and he
cannot fit onto my neck? He spilled over onto my shoulder. I could feel
the claws gripping and then kneading as he found his balance. And those
icy cold toes slowly warming up.

  Catnip party

Abby and Samwise had a catnip party yesterday. Rolling in it and rubbing
their faces in it. Abby has long fur and Samwise is medium long and the
catnip was stuck all over them. It was funny until they started running
around. It was all over the kitchen and living room floor.

I needed to clean the floors after but they had so much fun. I've never seen
Samwise so into the catnip.

I'm guessing it is going to be a long tough weekend.

No advice or anything. You seem to have most everything thought out and as
under control as is possible.

But I do want to send a few hugs and all the purrs we can manage.

Kayla knows you like dogs too and promises some extra tail wags.

  Leave my BUTT alone!

My meowmie is DRIVING ME NUTS! Every day, she picks me up and puts me in
her lap and then lifts my tail and pokes at my BUTT! Geez, doesn't she
know that is private. Then she goes and washes her hands all over. If
she doesn't want my germs on her hands, she should just leave me alone.
Hrmph.

Tony

Meowmie Note:
Tony is doing much better than a week ago. He is finished with his
antibiotics - which he wasn't keen about receiving. And now, I am just
keeping an eye on his nether regions to make sure the swelling stays
down and continues to go down. It looks much better, but is still just a
touch swollen - the other two cats have had me take close looks of their
nether regions for comparison. They aren't really happy about it either.
:) But I don't poke them. :P)

These show poor Demi's "cauliflower ear" - the vet says it's as good as it's
ever going to get :<

  30 days

Today it has been 30 days since My Spirit left me. These last 30 days have
been some the hardest in my life. I miss him so much. I talk to him every
day. Some days I cry some days I walk proud knowing how special he was to
me and the pack. I miss my furball so much

Depression hurts so much some days I can't get out of bed I have to force
myself. Talking to someone helps but the pain does not go away. I miss him
so much

I miss you my friend. I love you dearly

  Barney update...

Well Barney has a "mass" in his abdomen. The vet believes it to be a
tumour on the spleen or liver. Because Barney was wriggling like a
right ferret, the vet couldn't work out exactly where it was. So
*incase* it is worms, everyone is being wormed with panacur over the
next 5 days, and then we'll reassess Barney, possibly with an X-ray.

He's pooping, peeing and eating as normal. He's dooking as normal
although he's a little quieter. I guess this is one of those times
when I seriously need to assess things. If he needs an operation
because of a tumour, it's going to be £450 (US $850) I don't have,
with a prognosis of "not brilliant" and a really difficult recovery.
Or I can opt for palliative care with a "see how it goes" attitude
which will lead to a much shortened life, without pain, which I'm
inclined to do. At the moment, he's not hurting, and he's got good
quality of life so I don't have to make too much of a decision (yet).

Has anyone heard from Britta lately? I wanna know how the new house is
doing and how Vino has taken over his share of it and what he likes and
doesn't like about it.
