I talked to Ginger-Lynn a couple of times this weekend. She's having some
problems. Victor will be accepting PayPal for her personal finances
(medical co-pays are eating up what little she has in the way of money) and
her soon to be ex made her rent payment this month. However, as we all
know, Ginger-Lynn has ten cats and no waiting. She will go without food so
that they will not go hungry. So I told her that I will put out the need
for cat food and litter (she uses tidy cat scoop litter, I didn't get the
food types) and, perhaps even more important for her spirit, seeds and small
outside plants that she can put into a garden area that she has available.
If your spirit moves you to send items, please email me for her addy. If
your spirit moves you to send money, Victor will...

SAYING GOODBYE TO MOTHER......
You Don't Have To Own A Cat To Appreciate This One!
You don't even have to like 'em!
We were dressed and ready to go out for the New Years Eve Party. We turned
on a night light, turned the answering machine on, covered our pet parakeet
and put the cat in the backyard.
We phoned the local cab company and requested a taxi. The taxi arrived and
we opened the front door to leave the house.
The cat we put out in the yard, scoots back into the house. We didn't want
the cat shut in the house because she always tries to eat the bird.
My wife goes out to the taxi, while I went inside to get the cat. The cat
runs upstairs, with me in hot pursuit. Waiting in the cab, my wife doesn't
want the driver to know that the house will be empty for the night. So, she
explains to the taxi driver that I will be out soon, "He's just going upst
airs to say Goodbye to my mother."

Mosey seems to be acting fine, eating and drinking his water, playing, but
this morning, when I went to clean the catboxes, I found 2 piles of poop on
a paper towel, and yesterday the one he did in the box had some blood in it.
I've been giving him beef baby food with his beef canned food.
He loves to have his teeth brushed with my finger and he likes yogurt too.
I'm going to watch him for a few days and see...I don't want to have to take
him back to TED again, but will if he needs it.
So, knowing the power of purrs and prayers, I'm asking for some for my sweet
Mosey.
Thanks
Love you,
Kyla

My DH, Dutch has someone interested in his computer skills and he's going to
go see them on Wed, in a town called Port Townsend Wa, about a 2 hour drive
from here. His job went to India after 25 years in the field and he's
designing them a website for their company. Poor guy has been so depressed.
It's gotten so bad for us financially, that this would be a good move for
us. We'd lost everything in 1992.
And he'd be appreciated if he gets this job. IDK what will happen, we're
asking God for guidance, and what will be will be.
And I know the Power of Purrs and prayers.
I'm a little unsettled about the prospect of moving, but we'll have to wait
and see what happens.
Thank you so much
I love you, I hope you all know that.
HUGS
Kyla

I occasionally do some petsitting for people. One of the people I
petsit for is my neighbour. She has 2 long haired cats - one who she
claims dislikes being groomed. I haven't seen the cats for several
months as she lives over the other side of the road and the cats
rarely go out. Yesterday, I fed them as the owner went on holiday.
(I'm looking after them for 2 weeks). The poor girlcat, Saffy, is so
badly matted that her whole coat is solid felt. She looks exactly like
an RSPCA neglect case. The owner clearly hasn't brushed or groomed the
poor cat in months, because her coat didn't get like this overnight.
I've enlisted the help of a friend and I have started tackling Saffys
coat. I've clipped off about a third of the matted hair so far, and my
aim is to get the rest of it done by the end of the week, but I am so
bloody angry on Saffys behalf. These cats are fed premium food, and
are loved and spayed etc, and Trevor (the boycat), his coat is fine.
But saffy is a mess. Quite frankly, I don't give a flying pigs
testicle that my neighbour is going to come back to a bald cat. At
least Saffy will be free of the stinking matts.

I took 4 photos of Sonny today, surrounded by the high snow banks in our
front yard. Poor guy, he can't see anything because they're so high (even
though a foot melted during the January thaw). He gave up going anywhere
and sunned himself in his chair instead. Even in the chair he can't see
over the snow.

Lately I've been thinking about how much pleasure I get from the
website Flippy's CatPage, Flippy's CatGroup, and the daily cat e-mail
items I receive as a member of Flippy's Mailing List. Thousands of
other cat lovers around the world also benefit from the tireless
efforts of this lady in Melbourne, Australia.
Flippy can use our help in supporting these expensive services she
provides us by regular donations and purchasing the cat items she
sells, non-profit. But I also think it's about time we honoured Flippy
with her own special annual "Flippy Day".
JANUARY 26th - That's when Australia Day is celebrated in that
country, and because Flippy is one of its national treasures, it could
also be "Flippy Day"
FEBRUARY 22nd - This is "Cat Day" in Japan, because its "22-2" and in
Japanese the number 2 is read as "NI"; (like knee) and cats make the
sound "Nyan". For this reason somebody decided that February 22 should
be "Cat Day", so why not also "Flippy Day"?
We won't ask Flippy what her birthday is, but that would be another
option for "Flippy Day".

I got the expected call around 5:15 EST. He passed away just a few minutes
before that, peacefully and without pain.
Thank you for all your kind thoughts, purrs and prayers.
