so I talked about the outside cats the other night... so tonight I am
talking on the phone to Gramby... we are discussing such sensitive matters
as why a person whom we work with is such a cow... figuratively and
literally... as well as the relative merits of things like eating ribs and
going to an adult store with friends... and I step the back door to grab a
cigarette... I hear a series of chirps, MMRPS and noises that usually only
coming from Chester the ingester, Gramby says, what is he on about I say,
its NOT Chester its an outside cat... Then I opened the door a crack for her
to hear... I hadn't gotten the door open, I crouched down with Chester right
behind me, returning the conversation... having stuck my hand a bit out the
door I expected the cat to leave, NNNOOO I got a headbump...

Kyla, sorry you are having a tough time right now. I don't mean this to
sound arrogant but I don't allow myself to become depressed. I am afraid I
would go into such a deep hole, I would never get out. The prayer someone
sent you is what I live by. Sometime I have the music much to loud and sing
off key but I just try to keep moving in the right direction. I like Jazz
and no one around me does so in the summer the neighbors aren't to fond of
me.

Constant pain is a whole nother ballgame. I am fortunately healthy as a
horse as they say. I got the usual aches and pains for my age but, just
keep it all going in the same direction and hope it turns out good in the
end. Sending prayers that you can crawl on top of the heap and stay
there.....Gramby

For you purists

It seems to be a slide show, but I'm sure you can get to the original site
if you try.

the other night I was reading at the computer, DH was watching a movie and
all the cats were sleeping, when on the patio I heard the beginnings of a
cat argument, My first thought was oh who got out... I went and got DH who
looked out, the pizza stealing cat was on the porch with a little gray cat
that looked suspiciously like stormmee with more hair, he went to the garage
and opened the door to the patio, they immediately ran off, I hope that
prevented at least one kitten... I do wish people would get their animals
fixed, Lee

You mentioned yesterday that you hadn't been able to find leeks where you
are staying. I well remember those small southern groceries that consider
carrots, potatoes and iceberg lettuce a produce isle.

But my family would like to thank you. The post reminded me I had a leek
leftover (who ever has leftover leeks) from when I made chioppino last week.
That and some potatoes, a can of chicken broth and a diced up chicken breast
made a lovely soup for last nights dinner.

It was a windy rainy day, perfect for soup. And it saved me having to go
out to pick up groceries. Ten year old grandson ate two bowls full, and I
overheard him say to Grandpa, 'you have to have some of this'
