I CANNOT see you, so THEREFORE........

Author: Mischief

........I MUST be invisible.

I am ONE with my background.....When you seem to look right at me and
CLAIM to see me, oh you are SO wrong. I blend into my background and
therefore you cannot see me.

And if I cannot see you, then how POSSIBLY can you see me?

Therefore when I close my eyes or hide my head, it may LOOK like I'm
cowering in fear, but in actuality I'm using my feline skills passed
down from the ancient to render myself INVISIBLE.

I am one with the wall.....I am one with my surroundings....You cannot
see how well I blend into the.....

'Uh, Imp? You're a black cat against a white wall....."

*pause*

*curling into a ball*

NOW you cannot see me....

A tale of a wet, dirty kitty

February 14, 2008
WESTON - It was the stereotypical firefighters-try-to-rescue-cat story, but
with a twist.

Firefighters from the South Florida city of Weston spent a sopping hour in
pouring rain Tuesday trying to extract a kitten squeezed in the
undercarriage of a stranger's Volvo. The crew tried jacking up the car and
taking off a wheel, all for naught. The feline ducked out of reach at each
attempt to grab it.

At some point, the cat escaped undetected, prompting the crew to spend
another hour peering in bushes and scouring a Walgreens parking lot.
They finally gave up and headed back to the station, answering at least two
more calls on their way.

Five hours after the saga began, the elusive cat reappeared: At the station,
in their fire truck's rear wheel well.

  About Styles Of Wedding Dresses

Author: xikom01
Date: Feb 14, 2008 14:42

There are many different styles of wedding dresses, almost as many
styles of wedding dresses as there are shapes of women. No two women
are shaped the same and that is why it is so important to get wedding
dresses tailored to fit the bride. This often costs more money but it
is well worth it if you want to look your best as you walk down the
aisle. This should be the goal of all wedding dresses, to highlight
all of the brides best features and attributes.

The styles of wedding dresses change with the seasons but there are a
few classic styles that will never get old or go out of style. The
classic A line dress is one of the wedding dresses. Of all the wedding
dresses on the market today A line wedding dresses are the best. These
wedding dresses look good on any woman, no matter what she looks like
and what she weighs. It is the A line wedding dresses that flatter
every woman alike. This cannot be said for any other of the wedding
dresses out there.

Thank you, but, even if that doesn't happen, I suddenly know that there are
wonderful things out there for everyone. On this day, valentines day I wish
all of you who have a spouse (pain that they can sometimes be), significant
other, or partner a wonderful day and here is a poem/song I love.

"They say there's a tree in the forest,
A tree that will give you a sign;
Come along with me to the Sweetheart Tree,
Come and carve your name next to mine.
They say if you kiss the right sweetheart,
The one you've been waiting for,
Big blossoms of white will burst into sight
And your love will be true evermore."

'The Sweetheart Tree,' Words & Music by Johnny Mercer & Henry Mancini;
recorded by Henry Mancini, 1965. From the movie 'The Great Race

  OT: Dad Update (long)

It doesn't look good, folks. He was doing fine when they transferred him to
Bayview nursing home on Tuesday (other than the small snafu of the hospital
neglecting to give details about his breathing problems). In fact, one of
the nurses at the hospital had remarked about what good spirits he was in,
how he was eating well, etc. But Tuesday night they called from Bayview and
said they'd found him in bed, unresponsive. They did CPR* and got him back;
he was transported by ambulance to the ER.

Neighbor Lynn drove us to the hospital (Mom and I are both night-blind and
it was raining to boot). He's on a ventilator. We were able to see him
before he was moved to ICU but they had him sedated so we don't know if he
knew we were there. We talked to him and Mom held his hand. They don't
know how long he was "down" at the nursing home before he was found. I'm
afraid now it's just a matter of time. The ICU nurse yesterday gently
suggested I talk with Mom about taking him off the ventilator and letting
nature take its course.

I went to Bayview yesterday to get Dad's belongings. They didn't have his
wallet (which I'd emptied of cash during his initial hospital admission) or
the pouch containing his hearing aids. The hospital...
