  Do You Kiss Your cats?

Author: Kyla =^..^=
Date: Mar 23, 2008 23:52

I love to kiss my 4 kitties on the top of their heads each day, especially
in the morning and before bed, when I say good night to them. But one of
these days I'll learn not to put my Chapstick on my lips first...
cat hair is hard to get rid of ;)
I also, each day, put my hand gently on top of each of their heads and say
'little blessings on your head'. They love that.
And so do I :)

  Mosey

My little Mosey is such a sweetheart. He's a 6 year old long hair gray and
white tabby with a bushy tail and yellow eyes.
I have 3 different Mosey Cat cards to send to folks. :)
Even tho he loves to wake me up at 3 am to play and sometimes
poops outside his box, he's a love.
I've been sitting here, most of the day with the knee thing going on,
reading posts and teering up at some of them , like the one Pam put up for
me/him. I was just feeling so sad and IDK, I HAD to take a 30 minute
time-out and go do stuff to my knees, and Mosey came puuuuuuuuuurt? and ran
down the hall and jumped on the bed and cuddled up with me and started
purring so loud, I was just crying, because, for one thing, this day,
Easter, 31 years ago I left my previous life and started my new one, and
that was a bad year for me...I go thru this 'every' Easter, then it goes
away on Monday, and my cute little fuzzy guy just slammed his body against
my side, and told me "it's okay meowmie"...that did it. He then licked the
'water 'out of my eyes and looked at me and said 'tastes salty' I then
LOL'd. That, he didn't like.
Well he left the room for a minute, then returned with a fuzzy toy for me.
awwww, he was so sweet.
Before I did my time-out, I fed the cats and did the litterbox, where I ...

Mark, that is a *beautiful baby. I am so jealous! We don't have
grandchildren yet. We've
been ready to go pony-shopping for years. (It's a "given" around here
that it's the grandparents'
duty to provide a pony)

I didn't want to hijack Joyce's thread, but I just wanted to say how happy I
am to know somebody else who appreciates "1776" and John Adams. That is
such a sad song, but it's one of my favorites from that wonderful
play/movie. I've seen it both on stage and on screen, and like it better
every time I see it. Your insight into John Adams is very perceptive.

Purrs request for a remarkable cat lover

Author: Victor Martinez

I just found out my great-aunt Ernestina was run over by a bus in Mexico
City and is seriously injured. She is 80 something years old and was
leaving work when the accident happened. Yes, you read right. She still
works. She's a remarkable woman, really. Her family did not want her to
attend college, back then women were expected to marry a good guy and
have lots of kids. She had different ideas. She went to Chicago, where
she worked as an elevator attendant while attending university. She
later did graduate work in Paris, I think. She worked two jobs most of
her life, as a psychotherapist in a women's jail and as a professor and
researcher at the National University in Mexico City. She's written
several books and is a very well respected personality in her field.
She loves cats....

  Feeling lonely today...

Author: bastXXXette
Date: Mar 23, 2008 16:45

Having a severe attack of low self-esteem and despair. Feeling like
I could die right now, and nobody would say much of anything except,
"She seemed like an OK person, I guess, but I didn't know her very
well..." I'm not someone to be remembered with fondness or respect,
like anything I contribute to the world is worthwhile. Not that anyone
would say anything really bad either, it's just a whole lot of nothing.

I feel like a ghost, invisible, inaudible, insubstantial, floating
through other people's rooms, as they eat and drink together, hug and
kiss, fight and make up, live together, matter to each other. I once
had that, but have lost nearly all the people who used to care about
me. I don't know what went wrong. I wonder if I'll ever be part of
another human's life again. Did I do this? Is it my fault? Do I deserve
it? I swear, if I'd had any idea at age 20 that this was how I'd end
up... not sure I would've had the strength to go on.
