advice for making bed of pickup sleepable for 2

Author: Freedom Nut
Date: Dec 26, 2008 13:09

Hi All,

I have a 2001 Tacoma 4-door with the shortbed (and campershell) and
I'd like to be able to sleep two people in the back. Naturally this
is going to require that we leave the tailgate down at night and
making a few other changes, like figuring out how to deal with
insects, but for now I'm concerned only with making a flat bed to
sleep on. I see the lip around the inside of the bedliner that is
clearly intended for a sheet of plywood to be slid in there...I can
even see the lowered section where a pair of 2x4's would need to be
inserted first to add stability to the plywood.

I've never done anything like this before. Is there a webpage or
website (or maybe just some suggestions) somebody could suggest before
I start buying and cutting?

Thanks,
Eric

Best seam sealers and tent coatings?

Author: ShadowTek
Date: Sep 17, 2008 09:24

I just got a new tent that is in dire need of rain-proofing. The top of the
tent is actually a mesh moonroof type thing, so the rainfly has to be in
optimal condition, as it is basically the only roof there is. What kind of
seam sealers and tent coatings have you used that worked well and lasted a
respectable amount of time?

  LED FLASHLIGHTS.

Author: GregS

I have recommended Dorcey LED flashlights in the past. One I have been using for 5 years
is going on the blink. The switch does not want to turn off, or comes nack on after
clicking to off, draing the battery. My new one of only a few months old has a broken rear push button
switch. I'm going to try and fix it. I guess I never really had a flashlight that lasted really long.
My military style one still works. Perhaps I should try a LED conversion on that.
