Wow - This has to be the most quiet release date ever.
Didn't anyone pick up the new cd/dvd today?
Thoughts?

I bought it and listened to it while working last night. Sound is nice and
crisp.
I think they sounded better when I saw them earlier on the tour at MSG, but
this is a very enjoyable concert!

Sheesh, it's been so long, I forgot how to do this! Amazing I came up
with my password. Excuse the blank post above, I think I may have sent
one accidentally.
Sad to see the lack of interest in the new album -- and I have to
admit, I haven't gotten it, either. Came here hoping to see what the
old crew thought ... thought there'd be a lot of commentary on it, and
yikes!
Has there been any American publicity for this release at all?? I've
not seen a thing. No TV appearances or ads. Wouldn't even know about
it, had I not popped in on remhq a few weeks ago on a whim, rather
wondering if the band even formally existed anymore.
Well -- hope all you old regs are well and happy!!! --bergie

Nope, bit of a damp squib here, too. Who can get excited with a live album
that features so many tracks from their worst album. I've played the first
few songs and, while I enjoyed 'I Took Your name', the live 'Cuyahoga' is
a let down. That said, a friend who came to see the Arcade Fire with me on
halloween (great show!) has watched the whole dvd and says it's very well
done, superbly filmed.
Hey, Bergie! Hey, Andrew!

Here in France, I've seen an ad in a free daily newspaper, I guess
there had been a few other in other newspapers and music magazines...
but not sure the sales are really huge anyway. French radio always
play the salme titles :
Losing my religion or Everybody hurts, sometimes "Shinny happy
people"... It seems they didn't release anything new since
Automatic... very sad but France isn't a country for rock music
anyway.
