I'm going through the Paris El Dorado show trying to splice it all back
together so I can mark off the places I'd rather have the tracks start
for burning CDs. If anybody else has tried to do this, please help. I
suck at it.
I'm assuming anybody who has it has it in the same form I do, with the
parts around Gardening at Night a bit confusing. The info file says
9 crowd bit
-tape flip (master)
10 ??? (very end)
11 9-9 - (released on UK 12")
12 Gardening at night (end cuts) - (released on UK 12")
-
13 windout
Track 12 is the bulk of Gardening at Night and has a tiny bit of silence
at the end.
Track 9 has tuning and crowd noise, then silence, then a tiny snippet
of Gardening, and the Gardening part of it is a bit damaged.
Track 10 has the very end of Gardening and the very beginning of 9-9.
ISTM #12, the snippet from #9, and #10 need to be spliced together in
that order. Do I have that right? Splicing #10 to the end of #9 is
seamless, but the damage to the snippet makes it hard to splice it in
after #12.
At the end of 9-9 there is something very small stuck on that doesn't
belong there. Thankfully, Mr. Berry is working as a metronome leading
into Windout, so those splice together ok with a tiny bit of editing.
Aha! The tiny thing stuck to the end of 9-9 actually belongs at the
beginning of Gardening!
This is all rather horrifying for an obsessive with no audio editing
experience. I /almost/ wish I hadn't started it.
