After some time we're back with a new Echo Chamber playlist...and soon the
KFAI website will be getting a facelift. If all goes well, the KFAI archive
will be up and running again sometime in February. At any rate, our most
recent Echo Chamber was a typically eclectic, heavy, heavy dubwise affair
The show included a bunch of new music, a number of dub downloads, a few
classic roots and dub tracks, and even some Mutant Frogs. The new releases
included the excellent "Real to Reel" from Noiseshaper, Public Property's
infectious 3rd album "Movement", Michael Arkk's fantastic "Easier Said", the
heavy Croatian dub of Radikal Kolektiv's "Bass Matters", and the organic
roots of "Vision" from Clinton Fearon. The downloaded dub (mostly from
download.com) included tracks from Alien Dub Force, Satori,
SpecialDubService.org, the Moontrane Conductors, Scientist, and Austria's
own Dubblestandart. Also in the mix for January 24 were: King Tubby, Fully
Fullwood, Chronic Sonata, Roots Tonic & Bill Laswell, Vibronics, Fat
Freddy's Drop, Rick Lazar & Montuno Police (with the excellent "Nomads"
album), Thievery Corporation (as remixed by Shawn Lee), Westbound Train,
Pannonia Allstars Ska Orchestra, The Drastics (with their choice double-CD
"Chicago Massive"), Keith Williams, Bad Manners, Moon Hop, The Angel,
Version Xcursion, Shadrock, Burning Spear, Dennis Bovell, Love Grocer (from
their latest "Across the Valley" on Universal Egg), Katchafire, and DJ Olive
(from the FREE download album "Re:Up Series - V.2" from theAgriculture.com).
Wow, what a dubwise musical feast for your ears...
