this music, cannot overcome their greed and not get enough money for what
they stole from Bob, don't release what was his, what role should we play?

Some of the Japanese releases are not bootlegs, you can tell by the
Rita Marley Music insignia
Japan was left out of some of Bob's dealing w/ Island
The Lee Perry tracks have such a convoluted history that it is not
really clear who owns them hence the 100s of releases w/ the same
basic tracks (not a cent gets back to anyone connected to creating the
music)
Live recordings (tons have been released and now many legal download
sites feature them) may be semi-legit

vinyl only material is what needs to be released legitimately,
although I don't think there is much at this point, some is really
really good

I'll play any Bob track I feel like playing on my show without worying
about the provenance
