Top 5 experimental (if not prog) bands IMO. Tie breaker is number of
awesome (judged subjectively by me) albums.
1. Led Zeppelin: First 6 albums were awesome, albums 7-9 were average
2. Yes: 5 awesome albums (Yes, TYA, Fragile, CTTE, Relayer) and 6
average albums(Time and a Word, TFTFO, Tormato, Drama, 90125 and
Magnification)
3. Floyd: 5 awesome albums (TOATGOD, ASOS, Meddle, DSOTM, WYWH) and 4
average albums (AHM, Animals, TW, TDB)
4. Van Der Graaf Generator: 4 awesome albums (TLWCDIWTEO, HTHWATOO,
Pawn
Hearts, Godbluff), 5 average albums (AGM, Still Life, World Record,
TQZ/TPD, Present)
5. Velvet Underground: 3 awesome albums (VU and Nico, WL/WH, VU) and 1
average album (Loaded)
Among the experimental ones these are the ones which impress me the
most. There are other non-experimental bands like AC/DC, Beatles (two
of their albums are quite experimental... SPLHCB TWA), Clash, Rolling
Stones, Who who have produced some awesome albums too.

I am SHOCKED that these are your top three. Yet another obsessive list
to tell us what we already know -- these are your favoritest bands.

Don't you mean Goldbluff? Haahaha!

Which informs us that "ever", in the dictionary he's using, means 11

The albums were a little inconsistent and had some poor execution. The
recording quality was also pretty abysmal. In contrast their
straightforward hard rock album Deep Purple in Rock is very well
produced. Their execution also improved quite a lot with Mark II which
was much less experimental but kicked more ass than Mark 1.

I was actually following you pretty good - then you had to go and get
all complex and technical there at the end.
