Top 222 albums of all time (Joni Mitchell, The Police and Wilco a big surprise and Bruce Springsteen has the most top albums)

This is a 2008 list. So very recent. It has 897 albums (I am just
considering the first quarter.... I rounded it up to 222).

12 bands have 3 studio albums in top 222 and ONLY FIVE singer/
songwriters have done the same feat. So it is safe to say rock bands
were better.

I am surprised Bruce Springsteen has outperformed Bob Dylan and The
Beatles. And who the hell is Wilco? Why do they have so many albums at
the top? Another suprise is The Police. I dont think they had one
album which deserves to be in top 222. But seems the rest of the world
doesnt agree.

From the 80s onwards only Police, REM, Radiohead, U2 and Wilco make
the list. The rest of it come from the 60s and 70s proving my point
that the 60s and 70s were the best decades for music.

I am surprised to see Yes' debut on 211. I would have expected The Yes
Album instead, considering how underrated their amazing debut album
was.

I am also surprised Joni Mitchell has three albums at the very top. I
have never heard as much praise for her as Bob Dylan or Neil Young.

Raja, I hate reading about music in a tennis Forum. Are you bored

Can you delete your post by any chance or at least offer an apology or

Then dont read it. Its not like The Clockwork Orange where you are
forced to watch or read stuff.

No I purposely included it. I know some folks are interested in
discussing about music here (Joe, Dave, Whisper etc).

Mr. Einstein, please tell us how to do that?

I cannot apologize for you being an ass clown.

897/4 = 224.25. 222 sound better than 224 as it is double Nelsons. As
simple as that.

DROP THE LIST AND STEP AWAY FROM THE KEYBOARD! KEEP YOUR HANDS WHERE WE
CAN SEE THEM!

If you must post lists incessantly, be imaginative

Raja, your lists are incredibly redundant -- either tiresome
glorification of the same handful of pet bands or summaries of lists
from classic rock geek websites. If you must post lists as a matter of
psychological survival, at least think of something else! Show some
imagination! Even in the narrow world of rock, there are lots of
things to talk about. Here are a few examples to show you the way:

Best Rocker Real Names (not made-up names)
1. DJ Bonebrake (drummer, X)
2. Madonna
3. Prince
4. Mark Sandman (singer/bassist, Morphine)
5. Johnny Cash

Most Anthemic Bands by Subgenre
Classic rock: The Who
Punk: The Clash
Postpunk: U2
Alternative rock: Midnight Oil
Grunge: Pearl Jam

++++++

By the same token, you'll probably want to avoid the numerous replies from
people who think your redundant, idiotic cross-posted lists offer nothing
new other than feeding your odd desire for attention.
