I like their reunion era works, there are many good and even great
songs but few truly awesome songs. "Sign of the Cross" is good, but
wouldn't make the list above. Problem with Blaze era albums is
the production - Steve did them himself, but they would have needed
a good and strong producer. Guitar sound of the albums is just way
too light to support Blaze's dark voice. Compare to Blaze's solo
works, just how much better Blaze fits the songs there. Also, a
decent producer might have convinced Maiden that "dudes, does the
chorus REALLY need to be repeated, oh, 21 TIMES?".
^Sad thing that I'm not even exaggarating with that...
