Led Zeppelin has 6 albums.
Black Sabbath has 5 albums
AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Rolling Stones and Beatles have 4 each
Free, Who, Genesis, Thin Lizzy and Yes have 3 each
Looking at this it seems like Free and Thin Lizzy are massively
underrated.

100 Greatest British Rock Album Ever (April 2006)
"Albums voted for must be British or Irish. We're considering bands
British if their core members/creative hub would qualify to play for a
national football team. By this reasoning, Jimi Hendrix does not
qualify, but AC/DC, with Scottish born Angus, Malcolm & Bon - and
Geordie Brian J - do. No Live albums or best of's were eligible for
the poll. Compiled by consulting a panel of experts: rock DJs, rock
critics, rock photographers, rock singers, etc."

Experts smuckners
The only experts to what is great is the one listening.
Dj's are forced to play what they don't want to hear. Photogs killed Diana,
Critics always like the worst and most singers want to be John Lennon.

So RichL what do you have to say about Yes having more classic albums
than your favorites Queen/Kinks/Clash and having the same number of
classic albums as your another favorite The Who. You must be really
underrating Yes, arent you? ;-)
In fact there are only 7 British rock bands which have more classics
than Yes. Yes not a minor player as you said?

I looked at your list (which I ordinarily would not do) because I was
curious to learn of British acts that I may never have heard of.
Would you please explain how the heck AC/DC count as British?

some people cant read apparently. Young brothers, Brian Johnson and
Bon Scott are apparently Scotts born in Australia. Thats like the core
of the band being British.

A good list should include music regardless of era. This is a good
list.

If Free has THREE ALBUMS on this list, the list is suspect.
