I am shaking my head on this. I just don't get some peoples taste in
music.

Both are wonderful players. I see Mitch as if say Elvin Jones played
rock he would sound a lot like Mitch did with Jimi.

Considering I still listen to music from the 40s and 50s as well. I am
stuck on good music that is all. It is a darn shame and have to go
back a couple of decades to get my fix of great music.

Sure and when you put James Brown,Jerry Butler,The staple
Singers,Betty Wright,The Ohio players,The Detroit Emeralds,The
Dramatics,Issac Hayes,Joe Simon,Bobby Womack, The Moments,The Chi
Lites,The Niteliters,Mandrill,War,Charles Wright and the watts 103rd
street band,Kool and the gang,War,Earth, wind and fire,The Isley
brothers,The four tops,The temptations,The Bar kays,Maceo
Parker,Osibisa,Al Green,Gladys Knight and the pips,Sly and the family
stone,Bill Withers,Funk inc,Barry White,The Ojays,Harold Melvin and
the Blue notes,Sam and Dave,Joe Tex, Wilson Pickett, and I can keep
going for another 30 minutes. Not only that but I could just as well
give you a run down of all the Jazz I had the pleasure of hearing as a
child. It isn't a race issue why I hate rap and hip hop. I grew up on
those artists above. For talent Todays hip hop\rap artist has nothing
on those above. My guess is those artists listed above would agree
with me on this as well. I pretty much despise most of the rock bands
out making music today as well. Actually i should say i despise most
music being made today.

I would say Rap is a joke and it offends ones intelligence by trying
to pass it off as something that resembles music.
