We are assuming the best line ups over here!

Vocals
Robert Plant vs Roger Daltrey vs Ozzy Osbourne vs Ian Gillan vs Jon
Anderson
Guitar
Jimmy Page vs Pete Townshend vs Tony Iommi vs Ritchie Blackmore vs
Steve Howe
Bass
John Paul Jones vs John Entwistle vs Geezer Butler vs Roger Glover vs
Chris Squire
Keyboard
John Paul Jones vs Pete Townshend vs Tony Iommi vs John Lord vs Rick
Wakeman
Drums
John Bonham vs Keith Moon vs Bill Ward vs Ian Paice vs Bill Bruford

Lets assume that we are assuming everyone is at their peak. i.e.
Gillan/Plant havent lost their voice yet, Roger Daltrey at his
screaming best, Howe/Blackmore at their creative peak etc.... (in
short the period 1969-72)

Howe > Iommi > Page > Townshend > Blackmore

This may not follow the orthodoxy, but that's how I see it.

Catch any of the India - Japan DC tie in between prog rock posts?

It looks like the singles matches on Friday were both marathons.

Technically only one of the bands on this thread is considered prog.

Nope. I didnt watch any DC tie. Why would anyone show India-Japan
matches in the US?

Raja, many fine albums are staples of the lists you post -- yet here
are five great albums that, for some reason, never seem to appear on
your lists:

Leon Russell - Carney
Sisters of Mercy - First and Last and Always
Fields of the Nephilim - The Nephilim
Buffy Sainte-Marie - I'm Gonna Be a Country Girl Again
Bach - Maurice Gendron - Suites for Solo Cello

I have often scanned these lists, hoping in vain for some Shona mbira
music or Portuguese fado music. Maybe some day...
