I am not such a big prog nut yet. By the way why are Led Zeppelin/The
Who/Beatles not prog? Is it because they didnt make 20 minute songs?

Led Zeppelin was a blues based rock band which was a bit proggy at times,
and had a few 20-minutes songs, at least when played live.
The Who was also a bit proggy at times, or rather psychedelic,
around the time of 'Sell Out'.
And The Beatles were a bunch of whiny scousers who made dreadful
three-minute pop songs for tone-deaf teenage girls, with funny noises
added by George Martin.

HTH.

Zep was progressive blues rock IMO. Canned Heat were blues rock. No
Led Zep! They were much more than that.

I would agree to that. But I think Tommy and Quadrophenia are quite
progressive. Quadrophenia is in fact very prog and very SHITTY too.
