Seven James Brown songs and only one Carole King?! (Or for that
matter, NO Jackson Browne?!)
I don't know if I've ever heard a James Brown song I liked, for more
than a minute.
44. Bee Gees, The - Stayin' Alive
45. Bee Gees, The - Night Fever
If you're going to include folky things like Bob Dylan - Knockin' on
Heaven's Door, or slower pretty ballads like Roy Orbison - Crying or
Roberta Flack - The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face, than there are
plenty of earlier Bee Gees songs to chose over and beyond their disco
hits. (A good career-spanning compilation came out fairly recently,
called "Hits" I think... 40 songs on 2cds, there's only a few disco
dance tunes to skip through along the way.)
Eric Clapton - Tears in Heaven, his only solo entry
