Do you understand the difference between lying and being mistaken?

If you claim that Boston is the capital of Arizona and you know it
isn't, you're lying. If you claim that Boston is the capital of
Arizona and you believe it is, you're merely mistaken.

You claim to be well-educated and all too obviously believe that you
are. You're not lying, just very badly mistaken. Again, I'm not
impugning your veracity, just your intelligence. Oh, and I'm also
laughing at your vainglorious pomposity. It's about as simple as
that, really.
