Ah, and this is the wisdom I can expect from an honors English level
expert on irony. I'm aware of when the violin was invented, bright
spark. And if you don't understand the reference, you probably
shouldn't give the fact away so easily, unless, of course you think it
IS cool to display lack of intelligence. And no, mentioning violin
lessons in childhood does not yet constitute a claim to virtuosity so
stop trying to pad your claim about my pretensions with your own
manufactured quotes.

And for the record, you totally WERE suggesting it's uncool to be
educated, otherwise you would not have thought it so necessary to make
sarcastic remarks to me about it in the first place. You gave the
classic response by someone who feels threatened by anyone intelligent
and not socially cowed enough to keep it to themselves as some sort of
skeleton in the closet. Get over it. Your buttons would not even
have been tickled by my remarks unless it was already a sore spot with
you. Since Tony Elka has been so kind as to quote my previously
retracted reply to this post, you can read my response for yourself.
It was most definitely intended for you. Whatever your personal
insecurities are that lead you to assign all sorts of pejorative
associations to a very simple anecdote about kindergarten, the more
you go on about my pretensions, the more you reveal about yourself and
what you imagine I'm trying to say. Anything and everything else I
have said since then has been in direct response to your sarcasms and
you deserved every inch of it, whether you think it pretentious or
not. Don't imagine for a minute that I need the approval of anyone in
this or any other newsgroup to validate my opinion so much that I
would feel it necessary to come here and "impress" anyone with "vain
pretensions of intellectual superiority". The only reason I'm even
appearing on your precious rmb is because that's where this thread is
cross-posted. If my posts are so offensive to you PLEASE I beg you
killfile me. It would be an honor.

Excuse me for intruding...but I must comment on your lack of *naughty
words*.

Refreshingly well done. Bravo! It gets tiresome reading all the "Fuck yous!"
and "Eat shits!" Creativity is always appreciated. It displays the care and
appreciation you have for communication and the art of writing.

Less is often *bester*.

Thank you.
