40 years ago, I used to jump over the fence to get in the practice rooms of
the Academy (in Bucharest). Only fine grands !

God, yes. If I had a gun, I'd put a few of those things out of their
misery myself. This is what I'm practicing on, these days, and I
desperately wish I had my digital piano here (it's in Texas and I'm in
Pennsylvania, and I haven't gotten it shipped here yet). I can't say
that I've never played anything quite so horrifying as those pianos -
I've played some pretty awful heaps of junk - but these come pretty
close.
