Blackfoot's Train Train. I know it isn't tough, but damn if I can get the
feel. I'm all over the place. Sunshine of Your Love stumped me for years
before it came together. Any help? Thanks.

The Rhythm Reference Project has just released Volume 1 of its
series. This is the most comprehensive, user friendly West African
rhythm memory tool available… anywhere.

http://www.rhythmreference.com

Volume 1: Djembe Accompaniments

This audio reference tool includes the authentic break and 2-3
accompaniments for 50 popular West African rhythms, all recorded by
Master Drummer Fara Tolno. 34 of the 50 rhythms include a second
version as taught by other teachers such as Mamady Keita, Thione Diop
and Abdoul Doumbia, for a total of 84 tracks.

This is specifically designed to download onto a computer and is
indexed for easy reference on an iPod or other mp3 player.

What they hell, I'll toss up some tunes from my latest band:
http://www.redlineheroes.com/?choice=music

Of course just as soon as we got the show rolling with clubs chasing us, a
few hundred fans, T-shirts etc. the whole band implodes. Too bad because we
flat out rocked every gig we played.

The demos aren't great but I figured the demo you got is always better than
the one you don't have, so we were pimping with these songs while we worked
on a better demo. My playing is my typical mixture of spirit and slop :-)

  Huge Concert Month

Author: Erich

I had the biggest concert attending month this month.

http://www.rachelshippo.com/may%%20shows.htm

5/14/2008 - Radiohead - I'm thinking they among the greatest
orchestrators in all of rock and roll. It's amazing how THICK that
band sounds. Great show - and their record "In Rainbows" is
excellent. Among the best of 2007 for sure.

5/17/2008 - WILCO - It was the final show of the tour and they really
let it go for the Tweedy Home Town Crowd. 31 song set... Two and a
half hours... WILCO's my favorite band. They never dissapoint. Sky
Blue Sky is a GREAT record too. Glenn Kotche is a little bit of a
good drummer, and a ton of fun to watch!

5/23 - 25/2008 Summer Camp Music Festival: I didn't camp... my tent
was set up about 20 minutes away with a flush potty, big screen TV,
hot showers, fridge, and a premium quality queen size bed. Generally
showed up around 4PM and stayed until Midnight. My mode was party
early. Drink a gallon of water between 8 and midnight. Get home safe.

Great sounding cover. Like another poster said, it's easy to butcher
those Beatles tunes. You guys are doing a great job.

The only comments I'll make are about tempo and cymbals...
Maybe use some bigger cymbals. It might be the the recording, but the
crashes sound really thin (aurally, not physically). Are they 16's? The
"don't let me down" crashes would sound better with bigger cymbals.

Steve,

Really nice job; well-rehearsed, clean, tasteful drumming!
Could you tell us a bit about your setup? Balance overall
was great and the cymbal tone was ...smooth... !

Superb! I was kind'a doubtful when I saw your song selection, but man
it just flowed so smoothly and that's what makes or breaks a song like
that. And thats coming from a Beatles-freak like myself who burns up
when he hears poorly done covers of their songs... :-)

Steve,
I liked it; a lot. Your playing sounded fine to me. Band is good. Vocals are
good. I especially like the harmonies. Man, woman, or vocalizer? Nice mix
too. That kind of song, played out, is what I call a head turner, as in I'm
at the bar talking and not paying close attention to the music, when
something like this starts. Ambitious and different enough to turn my head
to listen to the band. Nice job!
