At rehearsal last week I spotted a tiny crack on the bell of my 16" A
Zildjian thin crash. It has been my absolute favorite crash cymbal since
1960-something. I don't remember what the exact designation was, and there
were certainly fewer of them back then than there are now. I'm not that hard
a hitter in general, but I always give that cymbal a little "extra" to get a
fast and bright response, and it has held up superbly. It's bound to go out
in a blaze of glory one of these days, though.

I've spent an hour or so listening to clips on cymbalsonly.com. Haven't
found any Zildjians with the brightness and body I'm looking for. Only good
drum shops are a 4-5 hour drive away (Chicago/Minneapolis). Any other sites
like cymbalsonly.com?

Thanks,

Bill Le May

Something's fishy. I sold an iPod and got paid instantly via Paypal
but it was an eCheck. Never had one before. It finally cleared but
after accepting it I read online where even cleared eChecks can end up
as NSF weeks later. I emailed the buyer saying I'm processing a
refund and requesting a money order since it he shows up as an
unconfirmed address shipping to a different name than himself. My
fault for taking the eCheck (was traveling and did the whole thing on
the iPhone...damn these 3.5" screens) but for his trouble I'm upping
the shipping time to 2 Days via UPS. Guy hasn't responded to 4 emails
in 4 days. Hmmm.....So, how long do I wait for a response or a money
order before relisting. Technically, he paid so he's not a NPB but it
reeks of scam all over.

Now, every single one of these is getting 30+ bids from bidders with
"0" feedback. Hit the link, look at any one of these and check the
bid history.

Noobs or scammers? Weird, huh?

Cheers,
