I have been getting a few emails and queries about this year's
organization for EBMfest 2008 which i do appreciate! :)
since our site is currently under construction and it is uncertain
whether we will put a Faq's section online i thought i would address
some queries that can be shared amongst the group...
DJ and Band Line up this Year
-this year's ebmfest 2008 is small and consequently both artist and dj
line up is on an invite basis... as we grow in future years... i will
open the forum to open invitation for both djs and artists and try to
book some interesting talent based on experience and genuine interest
in the event....
i have been sort of back and forth on the growth of this event for
many reasons...
have listened to alot of opinions on what it should and should not be
but feel confident now in organizing this event and growing it over
the next years...
so definitely keep in touch and watch out for details about the future
of ebmfests if you wish to get involved and participate!

We've just started new Gig Search Engine website www.gig-listing.co.uk
- search engine & directory of clubs & music venues, signed & unsigned
bands and their coming gigs.
You'll find all sorts of gigs, and because we're into rock, metal &
indie, it's a little weighted towards those music genres. Most gigs
are from UK, US, Canada & Western Europe, but we're open to adding
gigs from all over the world. It gets better every day, but it works
best when it has the most reliable gig details - provided by bands &
venues websites.
If you can't find it then tell us where to find it. You can add band
website link or a page where the gig listings are displayed. You don't
need to add individual gig details, we'll do that bit -

My organization does web-based publishing. We do projects like YouTube
promotions, television commercials, book sales, music sales and many
other media projects. For music people we take your products and
market them. Unlike the veritable tons of people who cut records we
actually help you sell them. If you have a CD, we can help you sell
it. We have marketing and distribution connections. For most people
who have a CD, they usually get cut loose after they get it in their
hands. That's where we take over. Selling is the major issue to
getting your hands on a royalty check.

New Auricular Records Release Breaks Down Barriers between
Experimental, Classical, and Pop Music
San Francisco - March 1, 2008: G:NOME, the collaborative project
between experimental music artist Alan Herrick of Nux Vomica and
classical composer/songwriter Brent (Mr.) Goodbar has announced the
release of their first full-length recording, Polymorphism on the San
Francisco label Auricular Records.
Polymorphism is G:NOME’s first official release and clearly defies
genre categorization. Solo piano compositions have been combined with
synthesis, spoken word and sound sculpture to create distinct
“explorations” and “concepts”. The focus of the material was on that
of self-realization and is presented through music and words that
explore virtue, fear, discovery, and conscience. The listener is
provoked to consider situations such as discovery of psychedelics
(Accidental Serendipity), the environment (A unique cover of Pink
Floyd’s Breathe), virtuous serial killing (…virtue), animal testing
(Life as a Ghost), and a David Lynch accompanied reflection on
transcendental meditation (The Suffocating Rubber Clown Suit of
Negativity), to name a few.

Auricular Audio Magazine is a series of experimental, ambient,
soundart music compilations with a unique 20 year history and
featuring a worldwide roster of musicians. After a many year hiatus
and several brand new releases on the Auricular label, we have decided
to resurrect the Auricular Audi Magazine series and begin work on
number 13 in hopes of a June release. The releases will be available
as both CDr and digital distribution through popular online sites
(iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody etc etc).
DEADLINES
There is no deadline as the production of Auricular Audio Magazine
volumes will be ongoing.
MEDIA QUALIFICATIONS
We will accept media of any length, however, if your piece is more
than 6 minutes we might (but might not) ask you to edit the piece or
resubmit an excerpt of the song. The desired length of each piece is
approximately 4-5 minutes long but we do make exceptions - sometimes
even absurd ones.
