Please, instead of discussing me, start a discussion on the posted
songs, one by one.

Yesterday, I had pointed out that one song from "Rojulu Marai" had
been "recycled" by SDB for a song in "Bambai Ka Babu". In an
earlier thread (about Waheeda Rehman's Telugu movies), Shri Ganti
had also provided a YouTube link to a song from "Jayasimha", a
melodious number sung by Balasaraswati Devi and Ghantasala.

I was listening to another song from the same film "Jayasimha" and
thought that it evoked memories of another hindi song. The Telugu
song is "Manasaina cheli pilupu...." rendered by Balasaraswati Devi
and A. P. Komala. This tune was recycled by Madan Mohan in the
film "Bhai Bhai" --- "Mera chhoTa sa dekho yeh saNsaar hai".

"Bhai Bhai" came an year after "Jayasimha". RMIMers can judge for

Even the interlude music seems to have been used in some hindi song.

Before I say anything; let me say frankly something about Profjee's
website. Its my PERSONAL view . Criticisms welcomed.

Prof's website in the first place is all fine and perfect. He has
toiled hard for that and taken great pains to launch it for the
benefit of all music lovers/ RMIMers across the globe...FREE of cost .
He has also been updating them regularly with fresh additions from
ever possible quarter.

I acknowledge this sincerely and pray for large heartedness in serving
the 'have nots' in their 'armchair status' Afterall; everyone wants
things done at the flick of the 'mouse' or 'button'.

His website is like a BIG BAZAR wherein you can almost get every film
song. One has only to search. Thats what happens in a BIG BAZAR ! The
only difference being: In the B/B you have to PAY for the items you
want..while in Prof's website its available FREE OF COST sitting at
home.

Great singer Surinder Kaur,great composer Ghulam haider,does anyone
know these precious song gems were written by my father late Shri
Qamar Jalalabadi?Writers do get forgotten,but I am happy and proud to

While searching for some old songs in my Cassette collection I came
across some great songs from Surender Kaur, an excellent singer.
Some from the film 'Shaheed', such as "Bachpan kee yaad dheeray
dheeray pyar bun gayee ". The film came out just before Indian
indepence I think. The theme of the film was also Indian
independence. I saw it twice. Kamini Kaushal a beautiful actress and
Dilip Kumar as a young actor showing promise, later fulfilled.
Surender Kaur has a lovely voice and I found these to be excellent
examples.
" Aaja bedardi balma ...."
" Budnam na hojaye muhabbat ..."
" Aye chand teray saath tow hotay hein ..."
But my favourite of hers is "Itnay dour hein hazoor - kaisey mulaqat
ho..."
Today I played these songs after a gap of some 12 years when I copied
these songs from Sohail in Karachi.
Another great song that I found was from Barkat Ali Khan, and senior
members will recall
" Woh jo hum mein tum mein qarar tha - tumhay yaad ho ke na yaad ho
