I am happy to announce launch of my second album, "Drops in Ocean", a
collection of my compositions in Marathi and Hindi. It also contains
two instrumentals. The launching ceremony took place on Saturday 9-
Feb. Reverend Father Louis D'Mello was the chief guest and noted
marathi music composer Rahul Ghorpade was the guest of honor.
I have uploaded two songs from the album as a preview of the album:
http://www.4shared.com/file/37466041/3803a6e0/Dheerese.html
http://www.4shared.com/file/37466313/a93c8dd0/Meghanchi.html
For the first song, I have reused the lyrics of the gem from Albela,
with some tweaks. It is not a remixed album. The tune is entirely
mine. The song is sung by Manini Gurjar.
For the second song which is in Marathi, I have written the lyrics and
it is sung by Ravindra Shalu.
Your comments and suggestions welcome.
regards,
Sunil

In the Rafi, Suraiya duet from Mr.Lambu,
tum zaraa sii baat par khafaa na ho
the voice of Suraiya sounds like that of Geeta Dutt.
Audio is available on, http://www.indianscreen.com/OP.htm
Those who are more conversant with Suraiya's voice,
in those years, may please listen and give their thoughts.

Here is a link to a wonderful classical song from a Marathi film named
"Aai Shapath". The song is in Hindi, and I believe, is a known bandish
in Bilaskhani Todi. The song is sung by Sanjeev Chimmalgi.

Aside: An earlier Marathi film named Savali (released a couple of
years ago) also had a plethora of delightful classical melodies sung
by Sawani Shende, Devaki Pandit and Aarati Ankalikar. All the songs
are available here:

Video at link below contains the version song 'ye raat bheegi bheegi'
sung by Geeta Dutt and Bhushan, synced to the video from the 'Chori
Chori' movie. The sync-ing has been done by Mr. Azgar Khan. The title
on youtube wrongly mentions the male singer as Manna De.
