Hi all,
I am looking for KK's songs from this movie (Suhana geet) that never
got released. It had some beautiful songs. I remember hearing a couple
of them ( "Mera geet adhoora hai koi Bikhre saaz" and "Baje baje baje
re kahin baasuriya") a little while back from an elderly relative who
was an avid music fan and bought records from movies in mid-1940's
thru 1960's. Then I didn't realize that it was very rare.
Can anybody (Surjit Singh ji ??) tell me where I can buy or download
any songs from this album ?
thanks guys,
venkat.

Song: jhilmil taare karen ishaare so jaa
so jaa, so jaa raaj dulaare

nindiyaa aaye nain dvaare
Film: Maashuqa (1953)
Singer: Mukesh, Suraiya
Music: Roshan
Lyrics: Shailendra
*ing: Mukesh, Suraiya
I finally managed to acquire this song recently, ending an
approximately 15 year long search. Snehal mentions this song in #200,
back in 1997: http://thaxi.usc.edu/rmim/atmjh/200.html
I quote the relevant portion:

Naashad, not Naushad. Now that they're both gone, the confusion may
only get worse.

Darogaji would be tough one to beat, here are some others.
Aurat (1953) - 9 solos by Lata
Poonam (1952) - 9 songs by Lata (8 solos and 1 chorus)
It would interesting to see similar details about Rafi, Mukesh, Asha
and others. Also there may have been instance(s) when all the songs
must have been by K L Saigal.

Sukesh
